Pučišća is the place with the largest number of towers and castles on the island of Brač, so we often call it the Port of Towers.
It is believed that there were as many as 13 of them throughout history and they defended the island from Omiš pirates and Ottomans.
Today, unfortunately, not much has been preserved, but certainly the most impressive is the recently restored tower, which is located right at the entrance to the place. The rest are only partially visible because they have been adapted to housing for a long time.
