In Lovrečina bay, which hides one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Brač, are the remains of the early Christian church of St. Lawrence from the 6th century.
This imposing building with several chambers, a baptistery and a Benedictine monastery is also mentioned in the Povaljska listina.
The entire complex was probably set on fire by pirates in the Middle Ages but it makes up a valuable early Christian site.
More recently, pilgrimages have been organized on the feast of St. Lawrence on August 10th.
