Mrduja Tug of War


Usually when people conflict over ownership of a territory, war breaks out.

However, when the people of Brač and Šolta have this problem - a big party takes place at sea.

The islet of Mrduja is the eternal reason for the quarrels between the inhabitants of these two islands and every year, on the last Saturday in July, the residents and guests of Brač and Šolta gather on Mrduja.

By pulling the ropes, they decide the winner who gets the island for a year.

This unique event is a must see!
