Fishermen’s Feasts: Feel the True Spirit of Dalmatia
If you haven’t been to a fishermen’s feast, it’s like you haven’t been to Dalmatia. Those warm summer evenings, when the smell of freshly grilled sardines and homemade wine fills the promenades, are not just a good chance to eat well and have fun. Fishermen’s feasts are a living memory of times when everything revolved around the sea and the catch, and they remain an important part of islanders’ lives.
Here you’ll best meet the locals, feel their openness, and hear a few stories from long ago. All this accompanied by a klapa or band playing old songs. And you? Your feet will start dancing on their own.
