Likva Bay is great for anyone looking for a calm and relaxing beach day. The shallow waters make it a safe spot for swimming, and the natural shade provides a cool retreat from the sun. The beach is easily accessible by car, on foot, or by bike.

With its natural shade and unique views, Likva Bay offers a picturesque setting where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The calm bay is sheltered from wind and big waves, making it a perfect spot for a quiet day by the sea.

The beach is equipped with essential facilities, including a toilet, dressing cabin, and shower. You’ll also find a café and restaurant nearby, so you can enjoy a meal or a drink without leaving the area. Free parking is available right beside the beach, making access easy and convenient.

Visitors love the serene atmosphere and beautiful views of Likva Bay. While the pebble beach itself has limited shaded areas, you can find more shade along the rocky parts of the shore.

Tip:
The beach can get busy, and shaded spots are limited on the pebbles. To find a cool spot, look for shade along the rocky areas beside the beach.

Likva Fun Facts

Ancient shipwreck

Numerous findings from the ancient era have been found in Likva bay and in the sea, there is an ancient ship from the 2nd century that transported stone from Brač. There are only 3 ancient shipwrecks found in Croatia.

Roman port

According to the findings, it seems that Likva was one of many Brač ports which the Romans used to transport the famous Brač stone. Other ports are in Splitska, Lovrečina, Pučišća and Povlja.

Amazing geological findings

A globally important geological site was recently found west of Likva on the nearby cape Bačva. The researchers found traces of the impact of an asteroid that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
