Likva Beach

If you walk along the seafront from the centre of Sutivan, 2 km to the west, you will reach the beautiful bay Likva.

The beach is located in the bay and it is pebble with small stones and is suitable for families with children.

Next to the beach, there is a restaurant where you can eat a fine meal or cool off with a refreshing drink.

There are not many facilities on the beach, but you can find plenty of natural shade.

Likva Fun Facts

Ancient shipwreck

Numerous findings from the ancient era have been found in Likva bay and in the sea, there is an ancient ship from the 2nd century that transported stone from Brač. There are only 3 ancient shipwrecks found in Croatia.

Roman port

According to the findings, it seems that Likva was one of many Brač ports which the Romans used to transport the famous Brač stone. Other ports are in Splitska, Lovrečina, Pučišća and Povlja.

Amazing geological findings

A globally important geological site was recently found west of Likva on the nearby cape Bačva. The researchers found traces of the impact of an asteroid that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.



Sutivan or as the locals call it Stivan is the centre of adventure and cycling on the island with long promenade by the sea and well-kept beaches.
