The program for Milna's heart of the summer 2026 has officially been announced, bringing a summer filled with traditional festivities, concerts, gastronomy, sports events, cultural programs and children’s activities to the villages of Milna, Ložišća and Bobovišća on the island of Brač.
Throughout the summer, visitors can expect a lively schedule of local celebrations, live music, sporting events and evenings dedicated to Brač traditions and island lifestyle.
The program officially begins on June 13 at the Milna Maritime Centre with the opening ceremony of Milnarsko srce lita 2026. Starting at 7:30 PM, visitors will be able to enjoy the event “All Brač Cakes”, dedicated to traditional island desserts, followed by a concert by Tedi Spalato, a Dalmatian singer-songwriter known for Mediterranean pop music and emotional coastal ballads.
Among the highlights of the summer program is the Fjera celebration of Saints John and Paul in the village of Ložišća on June 26. This traditional local feast once again brings together residents and visitors for an evening of music, social gathering and authentic island atmosphere.
From July 9 to July 11, Milna hosts the popular Mrduja Fest, one of the best-known summer events in this part of Brač. The festival includes concerts, food and wine presentations, sports events and the famous traditional “Mrduja Tug of War” competition, a humorous rivalry between the islands of Brač and Šolta in which teams symbolically try to pull the small islet of Mrduja closer to their island using ropes.
The traditional Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Milna takes place on July 16, combining religious celebrations, local festivities, music and island gastronomy.
One of the most anticipated summer events is again the Kalaton race, a unique race through the narrow stone streets of Milna that blends sport, entertainment and lively summer atmosphere. Alongside the race and accompanying events, visitors can enjoy a concert by Neno Belan, a Croatian pop-rock musician known for Mediterranean-inspired hits and relaxed summer vibes.
In addition to these featured events, Milna's heart of the summer 2026 also includes many other concerts, children’s programs, sporting competitions, cultural evenings and traditional island festivities throughout the summer.
