Pražnica is another typical village in the interior of the island of Brač, where time goes by at a slower pace.
It is located on a plateau at 400 meters above sea level and 7 kilometers from Pučišća. Once this small place was one of the centers of the island, and today, like the nearby village of Gornji Humac, it is the center of sheep farming and production of the famous Brač cheese.
Sheep farming, agriculture and stonemasonry are the main occupations of the local population. And for those who want complete peace and relaxation, we recommend some holiday homes in the village.
Near Pražnica, you can find Straževnik, one of the medival Brač villages that are abandoned after the plague epidemic when the population moved closer the sea.
